Tennis at Tennaqua is available for all ages at any level. A beginner, intermediate or an A-team player will find a place in our tennis program.

Family membership entitles you to free court time, every day. And with 4 clay courts and 6 hard courts, along with a calendar of social and competitive tennis events and tournaments all summer, the only thing missing is you and your racquet.

The pro shop is stocked with everything you need to play. Two full-time pros, and their staff, will see that your game gets the attention it deserves.

 

Junior Tennis

Our junior tennis program has a reputation of turning out promising young players with a passion for the game, and who go on to win at the high school level and beyond. Our tennis pros run one of the largest junior and senior high competitive tennis leagues in the area. Lessons begin as young as five years old. Each summer, kids' tennis camp entices preschoolers onto the courts with games and prizes.

Adult Tennis

Men and women may choose to play socially on in-house teams within the club. Pros are available for group drills or private lessons. Or you may join a summer league team and play competitively against other clubs in the women's or men's Chicago area leagues.

Social Tennis

Members are always encouraged to enjoy the courts with family and friends. Organized tennis socials are planned throughout the summer to get everyone involved. Many are themed, mixed doubles events followed by casual summer dinners out on the tennis deck.

Competitive Tennis

Tennaqua offers competitive team play at a wide-range of skill levels. As members of the North Shore Women's Tennis League, the Lakeshore Women's Tennis League, the Men's North Shore Tennis Federation, there is a perfect spot on a team for everyone. Also, the club hosts a calendar of mixed doubles tournaments for the members to compete against each other throughout the summer.

Tennis Pro

Andy and Gretchen Moffat, our tennis pros, maintain a fully stocked pro shop. Members may purchase tennis apparel, tennis gear, have a racquet strung, reserve court time and even schedule a private lesson.

Open Tennis Drills are run throughout the summer to help you refine your skills.

Whatever your skill level, Tennaqua offers you and your family an endless summer of tennis.
